History of Bhagsu Waterfall:
The waterfall derives its name from the defeated King Bhagsu. The folklore is about 5000 years ago, King Bhagsu dared to steal the sacred water from Nagdal Lake. Nagdevta, the snake God declared a war against King Bhagsu. Nagdevta defeated and also forgave the king. Thus, at this site, the sacred Bhagsunag temple was built. It gives importance to the king, to the snake god and also the waterfall. the Ghorkhali community holds great respect for this temple.
